Exterior Wall, Window Condition Assessment & Repairs

Kennesaw State University (KSU) hired the team of University Design Services (UDS), Hardin Construction, HADP Architecture and Ivy Group Consultants to diagnose the reasons for wall leakage and mold growth in the exterior walls to this multiple building 4 story on campus housing complex. The complex had been built via a Developer agreement and for whatever reasons the stucco wall system had cracked and was leaking since just after completion. The brick wall systems were also suspect as to the reasons for leakage.

The goal of the University was to have a single point of responsibility and one Design/Build Team to come in and evaluate the conditions, propose multiple solutions, provide cost estimating, scheduling. Ultimately the final design documents and the construction was completed by this Team. The result was the most cost effective solution with the least impact to the students. A full scale mock up was completed to allow KSU to see the results and then the total project was completed on time and on budget. KSU was sufficiently impressed with the Teamwork and outcome and should surely give this Team a good recommendation for a job well done.
